TaTU AND TWO SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS PARTICIPATES IN SIEMENS STIFTUNG NETWORK SESSION IN ACCRA

The Siemens Foundation orchestrated a significant occasion in Accra, Ghana, inviting prominent figures to partake in their pivotal STEM project. Among the distinguished guests was Prof. Abass Braimah, the Vice Chancellor of Tamale Technical University (TaTU), whose participation was sought after for his expertise in the field. The invitation, facilitated by the German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Daniel Krull, materialized at his official residence in Accra.

Adding to the significance of the event were the Headmasters of Ghana Senior High School (GHANASCO) and Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO), who were both present to lend their endorsement and support. The central purpose of this convocation was to introduce the participating institutions to the core concepts of STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – and to shine a spotlight on the commendable endeavors of Siemens Stiftung in advancing STEM education in Ghana's lower-level educational establishments.

Leading the discourse was Nina Smidt, the accomplished Managing Director of Siemens Foundation, who articulated the operational framework of the foundation. She passionately called upon the attendees to cultivate collaborative ties with the foundation in their collective pursuit of bolstering STEM education in Ghana. Siemens Foundation's mission extends beyond mere initiatives; it seeks to foster a cohesive partnership with educational institutions and stakeholders alike, united by the common goal of elevating STEM education across the nation.

The event was graced by the presence of HRM Notse Professor Nii Nortey Owua IV, representing the esteemed Osu traditional area. His palpable enthusiasm was evident as he lauded the Siemens Foundation for their commendable prioritization of STEM education. In a heartening declaration, he pledged the unwavering commitment and wholehearted support of his traditional domain to the unfolding STEM project in Accra.

This unique gathering of influential participants symbolized the convergence of essential stakeholders: representatives from prominent educational institutions, the esteemed Siemens Foundation, dignitaries from the German Embassy, and revered traditional authorities. Their collective energies and shared aspirations coalesced around a common objective – the elevation of STEM education in Ghana. The event stands as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for transformative change in the educational landscape of the nation.
